Review from Miles:
Had a great day fly fishing with Iain in May, the morning started with some theory followed by practicing casting late morning. Then onto the water to put into practice what Iain had taught me. Having not done any type of fishing before Iain was very patient and enthusiastic to me learning this new skill. We managed to land a 2lbs trout using a buzzard fly.
I would recommend to fish with Iain, he makes a point of not fishing himself during the day as to concentrate solely on the student's experience.
Review from David P dated 6th June 2020:-
Dear Iain, I wanted to express my appreciation for imparting your fishing skills with me last Tuesday. I had the most wonderful time and learnt so much, it was very interesting to see how different the discipline of fly fishing was to coarse fishing. I must admit that my arm was aching the next the day but that hasn’t put me off and I will definitely be back to have another go. Thank you again and hopefully I will see you again soon. Yours faithfully Charlotte
Review from Reuben:- July 2020
Many thanks for a great day, I really enjoyed it and have a huge amount to learn.
The fish are a fickle creature, but its more about getting out and switching my brain off than coming home with tea, although that would be a bonus.
I look forward to having a go again in September when hopefully I wont have forgotten all you taught me.
In accordance with guidelines from the government and the governing body for instructors - the Angling Trust - I am once again able to offer instructional fishing experiences. Tea making and toilet facilities at Chigboro Lakes are available. Hanningfield has now closed for bank fishing and boats.
Discover the Joy of Fly Fishing!
Catering to London, Essex and Suffolk welcome to the facinating world of fly fishing where you will learn the gentle art of fly fishing in a more traditional style where lures are rarely used in preference to immitative flies and insects. I teach in the manner of the old school concentrating on getting the basics of watercraft, learning about what trout eat, where they find it and how to decide on the right fly pattern rather than pulling a lure at speed to trigger the trout's aggression.
This year why not learn a new skill which could include the whole family. If you enjoy eating trout what better way than to catch it yourself.
What about a different gift idea for that special occasion, see my gift certificate section?
Why choose me?
Having a passion for the sport, a love of teaching and over 40 years of experience I have seen what other iInstructors do and I think I can give you more.
Let me teach you some of the skills I have learnt so that you can develop them in the years to come. I will not personally fish when giving instruction except to demonstrate a point. This enables us to concentrate solely on your fishing experience.
